Robotics Club of IIIT KOTA

About

About Us

ARC (A Robotics Club) was established on the teacher’s day 5-september-2018 with the seamless efforts of the students especially Saksham Jain (B.Tech, CSE), Tejeshwar Saini (B.Tech, CSE) and Rohan Chohan (B.Tech, ECE) under the guidance of Dr. Amit Kumar (Assistant Prof., CSE). The aim of the club is to encourage students to do hands-on and work with wires while learning advanced technologies. Members of the club shall be provided necessary hardware equipment and practical training. They will also be motivated to participate in various reputed robotic events. Club merely has a four- letter but holds a great meaning inside it. As its name suggests it teaches us to work in a team. The Robotics club of IIIT Kota, continues to fascinate and fabricate the innovative ideas of students. Giving students a befitting platform to exhibit their skills, aptitude and mechanical thrust. The aim of the club is to encourage students to facilitate students to understand, design and learn robotics. Provide interested students with opportunities to express their skills, knowledge and creativity through conceptualizing, designing and programming robots. In ROBOTICS CLUB we deal with electronics and robot construction or automation of any hardware. Students who are interested in learning about and working with robots can become a part of this club. It is OF THE STUDENT, FOR THE STUDENT and BY THE STUDENT group. Faculty coordinators are in supporting roles. There are also competitions and workshops related to robotics. At robotics competitions, teams of students design and build a robot that can compete in a series of specific challenges and are motivated to represent college.

Activities

Events organised by our club

Intra IIIT Robotics Competition

Robotics club IIIT kota(ARC) has organized its first Robotics Competition held on 2nd Nov 2018.Students of the institute participated in two competitions( Line Follower Robot and RoboRace).

Robot Soccer And Robot Race Competition

Robotics club IIIT kota(ARC) has organized its second Robotics Competition held on 14th April 2019.-Students of the institute participated in two competitions (i) Robo-Race and (ii) Robo-Soccer. Prizes along with the certificate for 1st and 2nd position were also given to the winners.

Workshops conducted by our club

Workshop on Introduction to Robotics and Arduino

1-days workshop on Introduction to Robotics and Arduino coding for the students of 1st year undergraduates was organized on 17th November 2019 under the banner of ARC Robotics Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota. This workshop comprises of giving the participating students an idea about Robots, Robotics, Types of Robots and their applications, Career in Robotics, Introduction to Arduino, Introduction to Bluetooth RC Car, live demo of building Bluetooth RC car, test running this car, doubt clarification session, last notes and conclusion.

Hands-on workshop on raspberry PI (January 18, 2020)

The main objective of this workshop is to demonstrate the hardware and software portion of Raspberry PI, which is a powerful little beast and a great platform for building low-cost, but highly capable, embedded systems. The interfaces built into its GPIO connector make it easy to bolt on modules using simple low-cost electronics and a bit of configuration to create very functional and flexible systems. This workshop provides details about what exactly Raspberry Pi is, what hardware and software are included, how to write the first program for it and how to get it to interact with a web service on the Internet, apart from gaining practical skills on the Internet of Things.

Arc Participated in various events

IIT Jodhpur Tech Fest( February 21, 2019)

Arc club members participated in the Tech fest competition(Robo war and Robo soccer) with their seamless efforts .

Smart India Hackathon (February 10, 2020)

Smart India Hackathon 2020 was the 36 World’s Largest Hackathon towards Nation-Building Digital Initiative of MHRD, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Inter Institutional Inclusive Innovation Center (i4C), and Persistent Systems and was conceptualized to harness the creativity and energy of bright young students for the development of Digital India. Two teams of ARC Robotics club of IIIT Kota participated in Smart India Hackathon 2020 by submitting a good solution to the problem statement .

e-Yantra Robotics Competition(August , 2020)

e-Yantra is a unique annual competition launched in the month of August every year and ARC members participate in this competition every year, Arc members working on Rescue and Survey Drone , Vargi Bots and Shayak Bots in 2020.
